Piyush Gupta received the B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai (Bombay) in  1993.  He received his M.S. degree in Computer Science and Automation from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, in 1996.  He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000.   He is currently a member of the Mathematics of Networks and Systems Department at Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies.  His research interests include wireless networks, queuing theory, learning and intelligent systems, information theory, and applied probability.
