• Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM)

  A national organization whose purpose is to encourage women to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences. AWM publishes a bi-monthly newsletter on professional opportunities, news of women in mathematical sciences, and book reviews. Among other activities, AWM administers an electronic network and sponsors events aimed at high school students.

• Mathematical Association of America (MAA) Women and Minorities in Mathematics Gopher

• Women and Mathematics (WAM)

  Women and Mathematics (WAM) is an advising and mentoring program administered by the Mathematical Association of America. The goal of WAM is to motivate and inspire young women (particularly in grades 6 through 12) to work toward careers in mathematics, science, and technology. In 12 regions of the country women whose use mathematics in their careers volunteer in WAM programs. These volunteers mentor students and/or talk with teachers, counselors, parents, and students about mathematics and the need for a strong mathematics background in many traditional and emerging careers.
