Craig Douglas is interested in the solution of partial differential equations,
numerical linear algebra, parallel or distributed computation, and very
high-performance computing.
He is best known for his work in multigrid algorithms. He has developed
cache aware multgrid methods in recent years applying his research to
problems arising in combustion simulation and ocean circulation modeling.
Douglas is the founder and managing editor of www.MGNet.org,
which is the primary source for multigrid methods on the web and includes
software, a large bibliography, a newsletter, preprints, and virtual proceedings.
He is also a member of the editorial advisory board of the journal Advances
in Computational Mathematics.
