Mariah Carey (from Wall of Sound)Hi! This page is for Mariah Carey, one of the top recording pop artists of this decade. Here you can find pointers to almost all the information about her on the web. Enjoy surfing below!

In her first 2 or 3 albums, Mariah demonstrated her incredible vocal power. However later on, especially in her latest efforts, she somehow shows helpless weakness. But definitely she is much sexier than ever.

Brief Summary (BS)

Mariah Carey This stunning debut album defines her status in the pop arts of the '90s. First single is her declaration for what she is and what she is about. However there are several immature songs. But definitely very promising.
Emotions This sophomore album contains the title cut, which is probably one of the few reasons to own this record. She really needed time to think about herself.
Music Box This near-classic album defines her to be one of top divas of the '90s. She is more prepared than ever to sing and stun the world.
Daydream Although this album has a couple of all time favorites, she is actually at her wit's end. She needs a change.
Butterfly Her '97 album is nothing but change. Her songs start to have meanings. However, she is basically still exercising her talents and looking for where she belongs. One more thing: Mariah, it is not so bad to hire someone to write songs for you.
Unplugged, Merry Christmas, Ones They are too commercially movitated, and I believe that "Ones", due this November, is solely released to give a boost to Mariah's singing career. I hope this will do what it is expected and become a nice transition to the next album.

Conclusions

Mariah is getting sweeter and sexier. I guess I am looking at a different her. Time flies.
