SeniorNet is a national non-profit organization with membership open to anyone 55 years and older with an interest in computers. Typically, SeniorNet members use computer technology to increase their personal productivity and are eager to share their knowledge about computing with other seniors. SeniorNet operates SeniorNet Learning Centers across the nation and develops the educational materials used to teach many of the classes. Instruction is offered in computer applications such as word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and the Internet. Thousands of adults have been introduced to computers at SeniorNet facilities.

What are SeniorNet Learning Centers?

SeniorNet Learning Centers are located in a variety of facilities across the nation, such as senior community centers, school and college campuses, hospitals and retirement homes. The New Haven SeniorNet Learning Center is housed in the Tower One * Tower East senior residence facility. Learning Centers are sponsored by local organizations that wish to enhance the lives of older adults in their communities. The New Haven Learning Center currently offers hands-on computer classes including "Introduction to Computers" and "Word Processing", with more classes planned for delivery later this year. To receive additional information about the New Haven Learning Center, you are invited to call 203-772-1816.
