P4PWG formed

A DCIA working group, P4PWG, was formed in June 2007 to conduct large-scale pilot studies on P4P.

P4P success in initial Internet experiments

The tests are a joint work of researchers and technologists from Yale University, Verizon and Pando Networks. The key component in the tests is the P4P algorithm proposed by Haiyong Xie et al. in a recent paper. Xie implemented the algorithm and a prototyped iTracker. Verizon Announced Support for P4P

Large files can be moved over the Internet more quickly and efficiently using a new peer-to-peer (P2P) file transfer system, recent tests over the Verizon network show. Research Interests

My area of research is networking with an emphasis on routing and rate control for overlay and P2P networks, and interdomain routing and traffic engineering. I am interested in understanding the current Internet infrastructure, designing and analyzing efficient and robust infrastructure for the current and future networks.
